What did Bageshwar government Dhirendra Shastri say about the yatra?
Regarding the yatra, Dhirendra Shastri said, ‘This Pad Yatra is for 80 crore people and is for the interests of 150 crore people. Every person living in the country is Sanatani. This march is an effort to bring unity and awareness among Hindus and not a part of any political protest or demand. He is worried that no one may create a disturbance by disguising himself as a pedestrian. The journey will pass through three states Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. This is the journey of union of Balaji and Banke Bihari. Today Hinduism is getting divided into casteism and regionalism, due to which the dominance of other religions may increase in future. Our only concern is that Hindus remain united.
He said, ‘This is a ground fight. The partition of the country took place in 1947 on the basis of recognition of people of a particular religion. We are only worried that Hindus should not get trapped in any division again, like if there is a division based on casteism or regionalism, then Hindus will be completely reduced. People of other culture and religion will establish their dominance over this country in the coming future. We want Hindus to be united and there should be unity among Hindus. For this expectation we have an ideological fight, an ideological journey, an ideological revolution. No expectation from the government, no say, no demand, no protest – we will beg alms from Hindus only for the unity of Hindus.
Baba Bageshwar said, ‘The march is not against Muslims, but in support of Hindus. Nationalism is needed in the country, not casteism. Our Hindu children and your children should be safe, the country should not be Islamised. We are doing this padyatra so that there are no riots in the country and the Ganga spreads. We are fighting for Hindus. There may be castes, but there should not be casteism. The country belongs to everyone. This is a padyatra of every party in which there are Hindus, so we have invited everyone. If the caste war ends in the country, Hindus will become united.
