The bowling attack in which Mitchell Starc is included, Josh Hazlewood-Pat Cummins is a part of the attack. It is very difficult to stand in front of a bowling attack which has off-spinner Nathan Lyon. But Team India’s young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal not only stood up to these giants but also defeated them. Yashasvi Jaiswal’s bat roared fiercely in the second innings of the Perth Test. Yashasvi, who was out on 0 in the first innings, did not give any chance to the Kangaroos in the second innings and remained unbeaten on 90 runs till the end of the day’s play. Let us now tell you what a huge sacrifice Yashasvi Jaiswal has made to succeed in Australia. To shine in the land of Kangaroos, Yashasvi has done such exercises which you cannot even think of.
This is how Jaiswal became successful
Rajasthan Royals Cricket Director Zubin Bharucha has revealed in an interview to PTI that Yashasvi Jaiswal has worked hard to be successful in Australia. He told that to adapt to the fast and bouncy pitch of Australia, he went to the stadium in Thane. He stayed in that stadium for two days, he did not even go home. In these two days, Jaiswal batted for 200 overs. He kept the concrete slab at an angle of 45 degrees and practiced on balls with a speed of about 145 kilometers per hour. During this exercise, balls were bowled with his body aimed at the off stump.
Jaiswal changed preparations
Before going to Australia, players usually batted on a 15-yard pitch. So that he could get used to fast coming balls but Jaiswal adopted a different strategy. In practice, he used lighter synthetic balls which bounce faster. Apart from this, instead of cement pitch, he placed a concrete slab which gave irregular bounce to the ball. This is the reason why Jaiswal is not facing any problem even on the fast pitch of Perth. Jaiswal released the ball easily in Perth and then after getting set, he played amazing shots. Jaiswal has made a partnership of 172 runs with KL Rahul, now it is expected that after completing the century on the third day, he will take Team India to the winning score.
