India-W vs South Africa-W Final: Sunday 2 November could be the biggest, most revolutionary and most memorable day in the history of Indian women’s cricket. The final of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 will be played between India and South Africa on Sunday at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. With this, after 25 years a new team will emerge as champion. The Indian team is going to play its third final and this time it has the best chance to win its first title. If the team captained by Harmanpreet Kaur does this feat, then the Board of Control for Cricket in India has made preparations to make it rich.
The Indian team made it to the final by defeating defending champion Australia in the second semi-final. Team India won this match by chasing the world record of 339 runs and on this basis the hopes of winning the title increased more than before. Now who will lift the World Cup trophy will be decided in a 100-over game on November 2. But it is certain that if the Indian team wins this title, it will not only etch its name in history, but will also shower huge sums of money on the players and support staff.
The amount of money BCCI will give to the men’s team
On winning the World Cup, the winning team will not only get a huge reward from ICC, but BCCI from its side is also preparing to give a huge amount to Team India. In a PTI report quoting BCCI sources, it has been said that if the Indian team wins this World Cup, then it can get the same amount of money from the board as the Indian men’s team got for winning the T20 World Cup last year.
Citing BCCI’s policy of equal pay for men’s and women’s teams, the source said that if the Indian team wins this title, it will not get less money than the men’s team. However, it has also been clarified that the board has not made any such announcement yet because the final match has not taken place yet and announcing the prize before the winner is decided is not the right way.
How much will be the reward for Team India?
Now the question is, how much money can the Indian women’s team get if it wins? If BCCI really follows this policy and announces the reward then it will be more than Rs 100 crore. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian men’s team won the T20 World Cup 2024 title, after which BCCI announced a reward of Rs 125 crore for the entire team. Apart from the 15 players included in the squad, the head coach, assistant coach and other members of the support staff were also included in this. The Indian women’s team also hopes to get such a reward, they just have to lift the trophy in Navi Mumbai on Sunday.
