Will there be ASI survey of Shahi Idgah complex? Allahabad High Court reserved its decision – Khel Ja – Khel Ja

Hearing on 16 petitions related to Mathura dispute was held in Allahabad High Court on Thursday. After hearing all the parties, the decision was reserved on the petition of Shri Krishna Virajman demanding survey of the disputed premises in Mathura and appointment of Court Commissioner. In this petition, a demand was made to appoint a three-member court commissioner for the survey. This application was filed under Order 26 Rule 9, on which a reply was filed in the court on behalf of Shahi Idgah Mosque.

A single bench of High Court Justice Mayank Kumar Jain reserved the decision after hearing the case. A total of 16 petitions were heard in the court. During the hearing of the case, the Shahi Idgah Masjid side said that until the matter of Places of Worship Act and Waqf Act is decided, the petition demanding the Court Commissioner cannot be decided.

Court commissioner appointed earlier in Gyanvapi case also

On the other hand, while presenting the arguments in the court on behalf of Shri Krishna Virajman, advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain said that in the Gyanvapi case also, the first court commissioner was appointed. Only after that the petition of 7(11) was decided. Citing many controversies of the Supreme Court, he said that the Supreme Court has also said in its decisions that the application of 7(11) can be decided at any stage.

1968 agreement declared illegal

This controversy started on the lines of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi controversy. In the petitions filed in this Mathura dispute, the agreement signed on 12 October 1968, which is its origin, has been declared illegal. Under this agreement, a demand has been made to hand over the 13.37 acres of land given to the Shahi Idgah Mosque to Lord Shri Krishna.

Demand for removal of Idgah Mosque

The petitions have also demanded removal of the illegally built Shahi Idgah Mosque, so that a grand temple can be built in Mathura like Ayodhya. However, an important suit has been filed in the High Court on behalf of Ranjana Agnihotri and 7 others in the name of Lord Shri Krishna Virajmaan Katra Keshav Dev.
