Famous Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit may try her luck in next year’s Lok Sabha elections. If sources are to be believed, Madhuri has been in touch with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders for a long time. However, she has not yet clarified that if she contests the elections then which party will she join to start her political career. Before this, there were speculations about his contesting elections from Pune also.
Madhuri Dixit was in the field during the semi-final match between India and New Zealand held at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. During this, she was seen with Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. NCP leader Praful Patel was also with him. Not only this, BJP leader Ashish Shelar was also present there. After which there is speculation in political circles about Madhuri Dixit contesting the elections.
However, senior BJP leader Gopal Shetty is the Lok Sabha MP from North Mumbai. It was Gopal Shetty who defeated Urmila Matondkar in the 2019 elections and became MP for the second time. Earlier, Gopal Shetty had defeated Sanjay Nirupam in 2014. In such a situation, BJP would hardly take the risk of fielding Madhuri Dixit in place of Gopal Shetty from this seat.
Madhuri can contest from this seat
There is a possibility of Madhuri contesting the elections from North West Mumbai seat. However, this seat is in Shiv Sena’s account and Gajanan Kirtikar, who is in Shinde faction, is the MP from here. However, his condition is not good this time either.
In such a situation, under the agreement, BJP can contest Madhuri Dixit on this seat. This time too, Sanjay Nirupam is a big contender from Congress on this seat, who is a strong option against Kirtikar. In such a situation, Nirupam’s path will be difficult due to Madhuri’s fight.
