Will Cristiano Ronaldo play in tonight’s Portugal vs Liechtenstein Match in EURO Qualifiers?

Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has been called up by Portugal for their upcoming international matches in November.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, is part of the Portugal squad which plays against Liechtenstein and Finland in their final couple of EURO 2024 qualifiers matches.

 

Although there were speculations of Cristiano Ronaldo not taking part in these matches, coach Roberto Martinez has included him in the squad. And the first assignment is tonight as Portugal travel to Vaduz to play Liechtenstein.

Even at the age of 38, Ronaldo continues to defy age and expectations. His performance for his club, Al Nassr, has been equally commendable. In the following five matches across all competitions, Ronaldo maintained his excellent form, contributing 5 goals and 3 assists. His consistent performance, even at this stage of his career, underlines his professional excellence and commitment to the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently in the Portugal team, and he is likely to feature in the match against Liechtenstein. Although Portugal’s route for the EUROs next year is secured, as they have already finished at the top of their respective group. There is a likelihood that the veteran player may play today.

Roberto Martinez will be tempted to give chances to some of the French players. But Ronaldo may well start from the bench and come on later, if things go out for Portugal.

Ronaldo would also be keen to play a part in the match as he sets himself for his 204th international appearance. The former Real Madrid star has so far netted 127 goals for Portugal.
