Who will be the next Chief Minister of Delhi? Now this question is being discussed everywhere. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had announced in front of his workers yesterday on Sunday that he will resign from the post of Chief Minister after the next 2 days. He also said that Manish Sisodia will also not become the Chief Minister. In such a situation, the discussion in the party has intensified regarding the next CM.
Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Sisodia will visit CM Kejriwal’s house to discuss the name of the next Chief Minister. This will be the first meeting of the two leaders after Kejriwal’s resignation announcement. During the meeting, there may be a discussion about the name of the new Chief Minister of Delhi. However, it is being said that Kejriwal may resign from his post tomorrow on Tuesday. The new CM will be announced after he resigns.
Announcement of resignation after release from Tihar
Earlier on Sunday, Chief Minister Kejriwal announced that he will resign from the post of CM after two days. He pledged not to sit on the CM’s chair until he gets a certificate of honesty from the people of Delhi and also demanded early elections in the capital.
CM Kejriwal, who was released on bail from Tihar Jail on Friday last week in the alleged corruption case related to the controversial Delhi Excise Policy, said that he is going to hold a meeting with the party MLAs in the next few days and a leader from his party will be elected as the Chief Minister.
Many contenders in the race for the next CM
Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Kejriwal along with his wife Sunita reached the party headquarters in Delhi to address the party workers. During this, he said that now he will become the Chief Minister and Sisodia will become the Deputy Chief Minister only when people say that we are honest. Sisodia was also in jail for a long time in the same excise case and he got bail only last month.
After Kejriwal’s announcement of resignation from the post of CM and his statement that he will not dissolve the Delhi Assembly, the discussion about the name of the next Chief Minister has intensified. In such a situation, the names of Delhi government ministers Atishi and Gopal Rai as well as his wife Sunita Kejriwal are being considered as potential Chief Ministers.
When will the term of the assembly be over
The term of the Delhi Assembly is ending on 23 February next year. Assembly elections in the capital are expected to be held in late January or early February.
