Vicky Kaushal is an actor par excellence. But, there are times where even he needs some liquid courage. In a recent interview, Vicky admitted that he had to gulp down some alcohol to get a scene from ‘Sanju’ right.
VICKY KAUSHAL RECALLS DRINKING ALCOHOL FOR A SCENE IN ‘SANJU’
Vicky Kaushal, in an interview with Pinkvilla, revealed that he had to gulp down some alcohol before a scene in ‘Sanju’. In that particular scene, he had to share the frame with Paresh Rawal and interestingly, it was also the scene he had to perform while auditioning for ‘Sanju’.
He revealed, “On the day of the shoot, I had a little to drink to get the scene right,” he said sheepishly, adding, “It was a night scene, but we shot it in at 9 am. So, along with my idli and sambhar, I had a little (to drink).”
VICKY ON HIS PREPARATION FOR ROLE IN ‘SANJU’
Vicky also elaborated about how he prepared for his role in ‘Sanju’. He revealed that he went to Gujarat by himself to learn the mannerisms. He then used to discreetly capture video footage of people on the street for reference, and was instantly fascinated by a lively young man who appeared to be engaged in two simultaneous conversations.
He added, “He was using hand gestures too vividly, I thought that if someone ties his hands up, he wouldn’t be able to speak.” He incorporated some of those hand gestures in his performance on set. “I got this from some random guy I stalked in Surat,” he quipped.
