Like any machine, our body works with the help of a command setter. It is present in our cells and controls their work. Recently scientists of IIT Jodhpur have done a research. From this it has been found out that malfunction in which command center of cells in the body causes cancer. According to scientists, disturbance of centrosomes can cause serious diseases like cancer. According to scientists, centrosome is a small structure which is present in every cell. The centrosome acts like a command control room, which decides when the cells will divide and do their work.
According to the new research of IIT Jodhpur, if there is some problem in this command center of the body, the entire system of cell division becomes unbalanced. This causes damage to the DNA and can lead to genetic mutation. This increases the risk of cancer. IIT Jodhpur’s Dr. Manoj Sharma explains that when the centrosome sends wrong signals or there is some malfunction in its work, the cells start growing in the wrong way, this process can initiate the formation of cancer tissue. Till now, most of the research has been done on the DNA-level of cancer, but the team of IIT Jodhpur has proved at the structural level of the cell that a malfunction in a small thing like centrosome can also cause cancer.
