In view of the increasing pollution in the capital Delhi, the Delhi government has started anti open burning and water sprinkling campaign on Tuesday. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai flagged off the water sprinkler campaign on the roads from Delhi Secretariat. He said that this will help a lot in reducing pollution in Delhi.
During this, Delhi’s environmentalist Gopal Rai had a special conversation with TV9 Bharatvarsh. He said that the effect of Delhi’s rain is now reducing. Therefore, 70 smog gun trucks have been launched in all 70 assembly constituencies for water sprinkling. He said that this technology helps in controlling pollution to a great extent.

Questions to BJP ruled states on pollution
Bharatiya Janata Party leaders have blamed stubble burning in Punjab for the increasing pollution in Delhi. Regarding this allegation, Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that there is Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab. There has been a 60 percent reduction in stubble burning cases there. He raised the question that BJP has three governments, what are they doing to deal with pollution?
Delhi Government Minister Gopal Rai said that the Union Environment Minister, the Environment Minister of UP and Haryana do not know where the pollution has spread. For what reason has it spread? He said what did the BJP governments do to reduce pollution?
BJP is not worried about pollution- Gopal Rai
On BJP leaders’ allegation of not using the green cess money to reduce pollution, Gopal Rai said that the green cess money is used as per the instructions of the Supreme Court. During this, he attacked BJP by saying that the supporters of that party have ignored the rules in spreading pollution by burning firecrackers.
He alleged that BJP leaders are saying that there was pollution 10 days ago but it is not there now, hence they will burst crackers and increase pollution. He said that just as the Delhi government is engaged in reducing pollution, in the same way the BJP governments should also work to reduce pollution. During this, he also said regarding Chhath Puja that its preparations have been completed.
