New Delhi: The release date of South star Vikram’s upcoming film, titled Dhruva Natchathiram: Chapter One – Yuddha Kaandam, has been postponed.
The announcement was made on Friday by movie director Gautham Menon on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Menon issued a statement on the microblogging website, stating that his team needed an additional day or two to finalise arrangements for the flick’s release. He also apologised to the fans for the film’s delay.
‘I am sorry that we couldn’t bring Dhruva Natchathiram to the silver screen today. Despite our best efforts, it looks like we require a day or two,’ he said. Menon also mentioned that they aim to ensure a fantastic experience with advance bookings and suitable screens globally.
Calling it heartening and motivational, Menon thanked audiences for the overwhelming support the film has been receiving. ‘Just a few more days, and we’ll be there,’ he stated.

The movie also features Ritu Varma, R Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran, and Vinayakan in important roles. According to online reports, the flick was initially announced with Suriya in 2013. However, several months after the announcement, the project was shelved due to creative differences with the actor. It was later revived in the year 2015 with Vikram locked as the lead actor.
Dhruva Natchathiram is said to be a spy action film. It has reportedly been in production since 2018. It was expected to hit the theatres on November 24. Fans are eagerly anticipating its release on the big screen after it resolves legal and persistent financial problems.
