Ghaziabad hospital news: President Draupadi Murmu on Sunday inaugurated the Yashoda Medicity in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. On this occasion, he appreciated the modern health infrastructure and spirit of social service of the hospital. The President said that he feels proud and happy to be among such institutions which provide quality health services to the countrymen with full dedication. He said that Yashoda Medicity has adopted the national health priorities with full devotion.
Excellent contribution in eradicating Covid and TB
President Murmu said that Yashoda Medicity treated a large number of patients during the Covid pandemic. Besides, this institute has also been a leader in the TB eradication programme. He said that Yashoda Medicity is the first center in North India under the ‘System for TB Elimination in Private Sector (STEPS)’.
Special work on diseases of tribal areas
The President said that this hospital is specifically working on diseases like sickle cell anemia, which are more prevalent in tribal areas. He expressed hope that Yashoda Medicity will contribute more in this direction in the coming times.
Dr. P.N. Arora’s efforts appreciated
President Murmu met the Chairman and MD of the hospital, Dr. P.N. Praising Arora, he said that he has established a world-class institute under the ‘Self Made Healthcare Mission’, which gives priority to social service and service to the nation. He said that naming the hospital after his mother Yashoda ji is a beautiful example of Indian values and indigenous spirit.

The President also visited the hospital and said that for the first time in his life he has seen such a state-of-the-art hospital, where all testing and treatment facilities are available under one roof. He said that this saves valuable time of patients and is an important step towards the progress of India.

President Murmu suggested that Yashoda Medicity should collaborate with institutions like IIT Bombay to adopt indigenous technologies like gene therapy of cancer. He said that health care is an integral part of nation building and the government is making continuous efforts in this direction.

The President said that good health institutions in the private sector can make invaluable contributions to the country. He stressed that “Combining social responsibility with medical responsibility should be the priority of every institution.”

Welcome guests with special shawls and souvenirs
All the guests were welcomed at the inauguration ceremony by Dr. P.N. Arora did this by gifting a special shawl. Scenes from Ramayana were carved on these shawls with silk threads, which took the artisans a year to complete. The guests were also felicitated by giving them conch shells and mementos.
