There will be a survey of Shahi Jama Masjid located in Sambhal district. The district court has given orders to the Advocate Commissioner to conduct the survey. This order was given on the petition of advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, who appeared in the court on behalf of Mahant Rishiraj Giri. It has been claimed in the petition that the Shahi Jama Masjid located on Dakkhana Road was earlier a Harihar temple. In 1529, Babar demolished it and converted it into a mosque. It is here that Lord Kalki will incarnate.
Shahi Jama Masjid is situated on Dakkhana Road in Kotwali area of the city. Mahant Rishiraj Giri has always been calling this mosque as Harihar temple. He had also approached the court regarding this. Senior advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain had filed a petition on behalf of Mahant Rishiraj Giri. In the petition he had claimed that this is not the Shahi Jama Masjid, but the Harihar Temple. Lord Kalki will take it here.
Court ordered to conduct survey
The petition claimed that the invader Babar had demolished the temple located here in 1529 and converted it into a mosque. During the hearing, he presented many evidences and demanded a survey of the mosque from the court. On his petition, the Sambhal District Court ordered a survey to be conducted by the Advocate Commissioner.
Mir Beg had built Shahi Jama Masjid
The royal Jama Masjid of Sambhal is also called Babri Masjid. This is one of the oldest monuments of Sambhal. It is said that the royal Jama Masjid of Sambhal was built in 1529 by Mir Beg under the orders of Mughal emperor Babar. It is also claimed that the Harihar temple present here was demolished during the construction of the mosque. Now a petition was filed in the court regarding this, hearing which the court ordered a survey.
