South Africa’s young batsman Tristan Stubbs has once again dominated. This time this right-handed batsman batted brilliantly against Bangladesh in the Chittagong Test. Stubbs scored a brilliant century in the first innings of the second test. This is the first century of Stubbs’s career and he played an innings of 106 runs. Stubbs hit 6 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. This innings of Stubbs is special because his first Test century was scored on Asian soil. It is really very special for a South African batsman to score a century on the difficult pitch of Bangladesh.
Stubbs and Georgie’s amazing partnership
Along with his century, Stubbs made an excellent partnership with South African opener Tony de Georgi. Together they added 201 runs and put Bangladesh completely on the backfoot. Georgi had also scored a century till the time of writing the news. Talking about the match, South Africa won the toss and chose to bat first. Captain Aiden Markram along with Georgie gave a good start to the team. Together they added 69 runs. However, after being set at the crease, Aiden Markram was out after scoring 33 runs. He became a victim of Taijul Islam.
