Tiger 3 Box Office Analysis: Even After Bumper opening, Salman Khan’s Film FAILS To Break Pathaan’s Record

Tiger 3 VS Pathaan: Salman Khan’s film witnessed a phenomenal opening in India on Diwali, November 12. Co-starring Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, the movie recorded an outstanding opening day collection of Rs 42 crore in India, according to trade reports.

Tiger 3 Box Office Analysis

‘Tiger 3’ achieved the sixth-highest opening day collection of all time, a surprising feat given that it was not initially expected to be in the top ten. The film’s impressive performance on its release day surpassed expectations, especially considering the slow pace of advances on Thursday and Friday leading up to its release. However, the situation changed dramatically on Saturday, and the film’s box office continued to soar with no signs of slowing down. According to Box Office India, “Tiger 3 recorded the sixth highest opening day of all time and due to its release day.”

“The opening day is also the highest for a Salman Khan starrer edging out Bharat. The numbers have got higher post pandemic with films like Jawan, Pathaan and KGF 2 and if Tiger 3 was released on a normal day or a holiday then would have up there with these three films for sure,” BOI reports added.

Notably, reports suggest that ‘Tiger 3’ faced a ban in certain Middle-East countries, including Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait. While there is no official confirmation, the speculation revolves around the alleged negative portrayal of Islamic countries and characters in the film, particularly the depiction of the antagonist, played by Emraan Hashmi, as the leader of a global terror organisation. However fans speculated that Katrina Kaif’s fight scene in a towel, could have contributed to the ban.
