The Dance War Begins! Jacqueline Fernandez and Neil Nitin Mukesh’s Hai Junoon Dialogues Spark Rivalry

JioHotstar is all set to launch its latest youth-centric drama, Hai JunoonDream. Dare. Dominate., streaming from May 16, 2025. Set against the vibrant backdrop of the fictional Anderson College in Mumbai, the series promises a blend of music, dance, and drama with an emotionally gripping storyline.

Directed by Abhishek Sharma and written by Aditya Bhat, the show follows the journey of Sebi (played by Sumedh Mudgalkar), a passionate young dancer who finds his place in a rebellious dance crew called “The Misfits.” Under the guidance of their mentor Pearl Saldhana (Jacqueline Fernandez), the crew sets their sights on winning the prestigious GOAT trophy by taking on their rivals, “The Supersonics” an elite team led by legacy student Gagan Ahuja (Neil Nitin Mukesh).

What sets Hai Junoon apart is its musical depth the series features a remarkable forty original tracks woven into the narrative. Neil Nitin Mukesh, who returns after Hisaab Barabar, described the show as more than a musical competition, calling it an immersive performance experience.

Jacqueline Fernandez, who portrays Pearl, said her character is both powerful and emotionally complex, requiring her to adapt her dance style in line with the character’s evolution. Sumedh Mudgalkar noted that his role represents those from marginalized backgrounds striving for recognition, adding that the series goes beyond dance to explore themes of identity, struggle, and ambition.

The ensemble cast also includes Boman Irani, Siddharth Nigam, Priyank Sharma, and several fresh faces. Siddharth trained in singing for his role, while Priyank reflected on the heartfelt friendships formed during rehearsals.

Hai Junoon – Dream. Dare. Dominate. premieres exclusively on JioHotstar on May 16.
