World champion Team India is going to return to the field soon. The Indian cricket team, which won the ICC Women’s World Cup for the first time, will play the T20 series against Sri Lanka at the end of December. BCCI’s selection committee has announced the Indian squad for this series. A squad of 15 players has been selected for the 5-match series under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, in which vice-captain Smriti Mandhana will also be seen. This series will be played from 21st December.

The Indian team, which won the World Cup final on November 2, is on a break since then. Some players of the Indian team were definitely active in domestic cricket but most of the players used this time to rest and refresh themselves. Now the team’s break is going to end soon because the Sri Lankan team is coming to India for a 5 T20 match series, which will be the first series of Team India after the World Cup.
