Tattoo HIV Infection: Nowadays, a case of youth crazy about tattoos has come to light in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.After this matter came to light, tattoo makers seem to be in shock. According to reports, the lives of 68 women have been ruined because of tattoos.
According to reports, around 68 women have been found HIV positive in Ghaziabad in the last four years. This shocking fact has come to light in the pre-natal checkup conducted at the District Women’s Hospital. Some of these women say that they got this infection due to getting tattoos done on the street. At present everyone is undergoing treatment.
Uma Singh, HIV counselor of District Women’s Hospital, told the media that every year 15 to 20 women are found infected with HIV. This year also 4 to 5 women have been seen infected.
He said that these women get tattoos done on the street. Right now everyone is being treated. He said that getting a tattoo does not cause infection but it can happen due to the use of needles. There is a risk of spreading the infection by using the needle on others after tattooing an infected person. This would have happened in all these cases.
He said that if the needle is not used again after getting tattooed, infection can be avoided. He said that every time you go to get a tattoo, you must use a different needle.
Let us tell you that the risk of HIV infection from tattoo is only 0.3 percent. If an infected person gets a tattoo and the needle is used on another person, the risk increases due to blood. Many diseases like HIV and hepatitis are blood borne.
