Recognition of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple
Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is believed to be where sage Yada, son of sage Shringa, performed penance at this place. He did this penance for Lord Narasimha. It is said that the origin of this temple is mentioned in Skanda Purana. Pleased with the penance, God appeared in 5 different incarnations, which include Yogananda Narasimha, Jwala Narasimha, Ugra Narasimha, Lakshmi Narasimha and Gandberund Narasimha. God was very pleased with his penance. Sage Yada had requested God to sit on this hill and bless the tribals. Following his request the deities turned into beautiful statues. He promised that he would stay at this place till the end of Kaliyuga. This is the reason why this place is also worshiped as Panch Narasimha Kshetra.
