How did Sharad Pawar become weak?
The weakening of Sharad Pawar started from July 2, 2023, when Ajit Pawar rebelled against uncle Sharad Pawar. He joined the Eknath Shinde government along with 8 NCP MLAs. They got the benefit of this and Ajit Pawar took oath as Deputy CM and 8 MLAs took ministerial positions. Ajit also claimed that he has the support of 40 MLAs. After this statement, a war started between the camps of Ajit and Sharad Pawar as to who is the real NCP. This fight reached the Election Commission and the Assembly Speaker. Staked their claim on NCP in both the camps. It is in the fray in the form of Ajit Pawar’s NCP and Sharad Pawar.
In this way the party broke and the losses increased and the situation became such that Sharad Pawar’s status in Maharashtra declined rapidly. Which is now visible in the form of election data.
