Gyayak Patni, son of late BJP MLA Rajendra Patni, has joined NCP (Sharad Pawar). Gyayak Patna will also contest the upcoming assembly elections. Actually Gyayak Patni is the son of late BJP MLA Rajendra Patni. After the death of Rajendra Patni, he was interested in contesting elections from Karanja seat from BJP. Rajendra Patni was considered close to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. After his death, Fadnavis gave strength to Gyayak Patni and asked him to get ready for the assembly. Devendra Fadnavis thought that Gyayak should get sympathy after his father’s death.

But after the elections were announced, Patni was suddenly asked to wait and BJP made preparations to field Sai Dahake from NCP in his place. Angered by not getting candidature from BJP, Gyayak Patni took a meeting of workers. During this time it was seen that his workers became very aggressive. In this meeting, the workers insisted on Patni that she should contest the elections.
