This temple is about 400 years old and devotees come here from far and wide to get relief from Shani Dosh. Shani Shingnapur temple is known for its unique architecture.
Tirunallar Shani Temple
Tirunallar Shani Temple is located in Karaikal district of Pondicherry and is considered to be one of the Navagraha temples of Shani Dev. It is considered to remove Shani Dosh, which is also known as Dharbaranyeshwar Temple. This temple is very famous for getting relief from the ill effects of planet Saturn. Devotees come here and take holy bath in Nal Theertham and pray to Shani Dev.
Kokilavan Shani Temple
Located in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, it is known as the holy place of Shanidev. There is a belief about this temple that Shanidev had performed penance here to see Lord Krishna. It is said that pleased with the penance of Shanidev, Shri Krishna appeared to him in the form of a cuckoo (Kokila). Therefore this forest came to be called “Kokilavan”. This temple is considered a Siddha Dham and circumambulating here provides relief from the troubles of Shani Dev and calms the wrath of Shani Dev.
Shanichara Temple Gwalior
The Shani temple built in Morena district, 18 km from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, is called Shanishchara Temple, whose history is related to the Ramayana period. This temple is one of the oldest Shani temples in the country and because of the presence of Shanidev here, this place is considered very influential. The specialty of this temple is that after offering oil to Shani, people embrace him.
