The efforts being made by BCCI in enhancing the talent of its players, making them combative and making them fit for international cricket are a big contribution. For this, BCCI has a tremendous team of support staff, who work behind the players. BCCI gives the players a platform on which they can prove their talent and work hard to move ahead. But, the matter looks a little different in Puducherry. The game that is going on there right under the nose of BCCI is an eye and ear opener.
Fraud in Puducherry right under the nose of BCCI
In Puducherry, shortcuts are being taken for players to join the team. And, those who are doing this are working parallel to BCCI and CAP i.e. Cricket Association of Puducherry. For them everything is a game of money. With the money they create fake addresses and also provide eligibility certificates. This fraud happening right under the nose of BCCI has come to light in the investigation conducted by Indian Express.
Big revelation made in investigation
According to the report of Indian Express, it reviewed more than 2000 registration forms of players in the Union Territory of Puducherry in the last 3 months. Talked to more than a dozen former and current players and officials. Not only this, Indian Express also did ground verification of many addresses given by residential and educational institutions.
