Sai Pallavi is gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie Amaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan. The movie is based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who gave his all to guard the nation.

Amaran director did THIS to make Sai Pallavi believe her screen time will not be shortened
In an interview with Behindwoods, Sai Pallavi shared that when she narrated the script of Amaran, she was not convinced as it was a male-centric movie. She revealed that in male-centric movies, filmmakers mostly trim the portions of female actors to meet the length issues. So for Amaran, she made the director Rajkumar pen that her part would not be shortened under any circumstances and then only agreed to do the movie.
“Most of the time, in biopics or male-driven films, the makers easily cut out the portions of the heroine. They can cite length issues and go ahead with the same. So, I asked Amaran director Rajkumar to give it to me in writing that he won’t do such things. Of course, I could take that liberty with him, and he assured me that my character of Indhu Rebecca Varghese is as important as Major Mukund Varadarajan’s role in Amaran,” she said.
