Ind Vs Nz: Team India had to face defeat in its home Test series after 12 years. New Zealand has won a Test series in India for the first time. This victory is a very historic series win for New Zealand. Team India is now 2-0 behind in the 3-match series and they are now in danger of a clean sweep.

With this defeat, Team India’s dream of reaching the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) may also be shattered. This is Team India’s first series defeat at home under the captaincy of Rohit. Team India has faced defeat in the Test series after 4000 days in Test cricket.

Team India’s WTC final is in trouble

Now Sri Lanka can play against Australia in the World Test Championship final to be held at Lord’s. Australia is almost certain to reach the final. Australia has to play a 5-match Test series against India at home and after that they have to play a two-match series against Sri Lanka. While Sri Lanka still has to play a two-match series in Africa, they have to play two matches with Australia.

Another team which is a contender for the final is South Africa. They have to win 4 out of 5 matches and they have to play a two-match series each at home with Sri Lanka and Pakistan. While one match has to be played against Bangladesh.

Rohit Sharma’s arbitrariness became the reason for the defeat.

The reason for Team India’s defeat is Rohit Sharma’s poor captaincy and his arbitrariness. Team India went into defensive mode after losing the first match and decided to play the match on a turning pitch. New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat in this match.

New Zealand’s batsmen had made a good start in the first innings and at one time New Zealand’s score was 197 runs for 2 wickets. But after that the bowlers of Team India made a comeback and the New Zealand team was reduced to 259 runs. Sundar (Washington Sundar) bowled the best of his career and took 7 wickets. Team India’s top order disintegrated in the first innings due to which it was reduced to just 156 runs.

Mitchell Santner becomes the call for Indian batsmen

Mitchell Santner shocked Team India by taking five wickets for the first time in his first class career. New Zealand got a lead of 103 runs in the first innings. After which, after a good start in the second innings, Indian bowlers Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja took early wickets but by then it was too late and New Zealand got limited to 255 runs in the second innings.

Rohit flopped again

Team India had to chase 359 runs on a difficult pitch. Yashasvi gave a good start to the team and scored a half-century but no batsman was able to survive at the other end. Captain Rohit Sharma once again returned to the pavilion cheaply. Rishabh Pant’s run out due to Virat Kohli proved to be the turning point of the match and after that no batsman could stand on the crease for long.

Jadeja and Ashwin (Ravichandran Ashwin) made a partnership but they too could not avoid the untoward incident. After Ashwin’s dismissal, Jadeja remained alone at one end but he could only reduce the difference of runs and Team India lost the match by 113 runs.
