The schemes of Yogi government are implementing the thinking of “Antyodaya to Sarvodaya” in UP. Youth, women, poor and minorities are getting facilities like scholarship, ration, pension, gas and marriage grant, making UP the biggest beneficiary state in the country.
Lucknow. The public welfare schemes running in Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath seem to be giving actual shape to the thinking of “Antyodaya to Sarvodaya”. The government is providing direct assistance to youth, women, elderly, disabled, minorities and poor families. A strong structure of social security has been created by providing pension, scholarship, free ration, gas connection, mass marriage grant and educational assistance to crores of people. This is the reason why Uttar Pradesh has become the biggest beneficiary state of the country today.
Strong foundation for the future of youth, students and daughters
Chief Minister Abhyudaya Yojana, implemented in all the districts of the state, has given a new direction to the youth preparing for competitive examinations. The minority community is also getting special benefits in this scheme. In the last three years, more than 743 youth have achieved success in various prestigious competitive examinations. Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana, launched for the children and adolescents orphaned during the Covid period, has proved to be a great help in their lives.
In the field of education, assistance worth thousands of crores of rupees has been given to Scheduled Caste, Backward Class and General Category students under pre-10th and post-10th scholarship schemes. This has directly benefited a large number of students, which shows that the government is making education the main instrument of social justice.
Under the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme for poor families and daughters, marriages of more than 4.77 lakh couples have been solemnized so far. Under this scheme, the amount of assistance per couple has been increased from Rs 51 thousand to Rs 1 lakh, due to which the financial burden has reduced significantly.
Relief to every household: ration, pension and gas benefits
Every month, 5 kg free food grains are being given to crores of eligible citizens of the state and 35 kg ration is being given to Antyodaya families. Antyodaya cardholders are also being provided 3 kg sugar at a concessional rate every three months.
During the Covid period, the government proved its sensitivity by distributing gram, edible oil and salt for free. The participation of minorities and deprived classes is highest in destitute women, old age and disabled pension, Ujjwala scheme and other benefits, which makes it clear that the government is strengthening social security without any discrimination.
This comprehensive social welfare model is bringing positive and lasting change in the lives of minorities, poor and vulnerable sections and establishing Uttar Pradesh as the “Largest Beneficiary State”.
