‘Propaganda agents’: Rubina Dilaik fires back at trolls labelling her ‘anti-Hindu’ over Diwali post

New Delhi: Television actress Rubina Dilaik has become the latest victim of online trolls following her social media post condemning late-night firecracker bursting after Diwali went viral.

The 36-year-old star on Wednesday slammed people for setting off fireworks nonstop until 3 in the morning.

Rubina reminded individuals that Diwali is now over and urged them not to contribute to noise or air pollution. Her words spread like wildfire on the microblogging website X (formerly known as Twitter).

Looking forward to learning new dance styles on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, says Rubina Dilaik

In no time, trolls started attacking her on the Internet and labelled her ‘anti-Hindu’ for her remarks. ‘Stop your anti-Hindu propaganda. Delete this tweet right now. Stop using AC in your rooms. Stop using Bmw/Audi Cars for personal use,’ wrote one social media user. Another commented, ‘Rubina I respect your current state, you are pregnant but this tweet of yours is hurting the religious sentiment of people as well. Please delete it for your own peace of mind as well as others.’

Rubina hits back at trolls

The Bigg Boss season 14 winner, in no time, gave a befitting reply to these trolls. Diwali – the festival of lights – is a celebration of Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya, she highlighted. Rubina added that bursting crackers for ten days was never mentioned in the Ramayana. All you pseudo-Hindu propaganda agents go and find someone else to promote your paid accounts and fake IDs, she further said.

Rubina is a prominent TV personality who is best known for portraying the character of Radhika Shastri in the popular show Chotti Bahu. She is currently expecting a child with her husband Abhinav Shukla.
