Once again a case of death after drinking poisonous liquor has come to light from Siwan, Bihar. Last month also, 28 people died in this area due to drinking poisonous liquor. After which once again such an incident is raising serious questions on liquor prohibition in Bihar. At the same time, local people are alleging that the work of selling poisonous liquor goes on right under the nose of the administration but action is not taken in time.

The incident took place on Thursday, when five people resident of Lakdi Nabiganj were admitted to the hospital. His family members say that his health deteriorated after drinking alcohol. Amarjeet died during treatment in Sadar Hospital. The family members of the deceased are in bad condition, crying. There is mourning in the area after death due to drinking alcohol.

Umesh Yadav was referred to PMCH from Sadar Hospital. Where his condition remains critical. While two other people Harinder and Ashok are admitted in Sadar Hospital. Neighbors say that he has lost his eyesight.

People are angry with the administration and have alleged that liquor is sold and people drink it even at a distance of 100 meters from the police station. Had it been stopped in time, this situation would not have happened today. People told that the deceased Amarjeet Rai himself used to sell liquor illegally. He himself was involved in selling liquor. People said that he was forbidden from selling liquor several times and attempts were made to convince him, but he did not agree.

People said that while walking in Nabiganj, liquor packets are seen scattered. After the incident, the liquor pouches were burnt but despite this, these pouches are seen lying on the roadside in the village.
