Jai Durga Peetham Temple in Chennai

In fact, in two famous temples located near Chennai, Tamil Nadu, offerings of pizza, sandwiches, burgers, panipuri and cold drinks have been made for decades. Vending machines have been installed for Prasad
To ensure that there is no problem regarding Prasad, vending machines have been installed from where devotees can buy things like cookies, burgers and cakes through tokens and can offer them to the Matarani as Prasad. All the prasad of the temple is prepared with complete cleanliness in the sacred kitchen of the temple. It is certified by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
There is only one reason for offering so many different types of Prasad in Jai Durga Peetham temple. Actually, mothers pray for the health and longevity of their children. When children come to the temple, they do not like to eat traditional sweets, but when they see pizza-burgers, they feel very happy, hence this tradition continues with the belief that the Goddess accepts the food of modern children also. Due to this, children come to the temple happily. At the same time, the wishes made by the mothers are also fulfilled. With changing times, temples are also becoming the center of attraction by following new traditions.

Jai Durga Peetham Temple is about 22 km from Chennai International Airport, while Chennai Central Railway Station is the nearest major railway station, which is about 44 km from Padappai. From here one can easily reach the temple by taxi and bus.
