People are getting employment opportunities rapidly, big revelation made in this report

Under the ESI scheme of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), 20.74 lakh new employees have been registered in August. The Ministry of Labor and Employment said in a statement that 9.89 lakh youth workers up to the age of 25 years are included in the new registration. During this period, 4.14 lakh women employees have been registered in the ESI scheme.

28,917 companies registered

The statement said that 28,917 new companies were registered under the ESI scheme in August. ESIC’s provisional payroll data shows that 20.74 lakh new employees were added in August 2024, ensuring social security to more workers. Apart from this, net registration in August increased by 6.80 percent on annual basis. A total of 60 transgender employees also registered during the period under review. The statement said that the payroll figures are provisional, as the collection of data continues continuously.

Companies are enthusiastic about the economic condition of the country and 37 percent of employers are planning to increase the number of their employees. This has come to light in a recently released survey. According to the Man Powergroup Employment Outlook Survey 2024 Q4, the net employment scenario in India is the strongest globally at 37 per cent. After this, Costa Rica with 36 percent and America with 34 percent are in second and third place respectively.

These sectors are on top

According to the survey, the northern region of India is at the forefront in demand for jobs with a probability of 41 percent. After this comes the western region with 39 percent. The employment scenario in India, Singapore and China has become strong. Employers in Hong Kong remained most cautious about employment. The survey is based on responses received between July 1 and 31, 2024. In this, 40,340 employers from 42 countries were asked about their hiring intentions for the fourth quarter.
