Pakistan set up mouth-watering India clash in Super 4 after 41-run win over UAE in Asia Cup 2025

New Delhi: After unnecessary boycott drama ahead of the clash, Pakistan defeated UAE by 41 runs in their must-win final group-stage game to qualify for the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2025. Pakistan became the second team to qualify from Group A and set up a mouth-watering clash with arch-rivals India in the Super Four stage of the tournament.

UAE produced an impressive effort with the ball to restrict Pakistan to a low-key total of 146/9 in 20 overs, however, their batters failed to step up in the run-chase as Salman Ali Agha & Co. held their nerves to clinch a convincing victory in the crucial encounter. Pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf picked up two wickets apiece to help Pakistan bundle out UAE for 105 runs in 17.4 overs and secure a comprehensive win for their side.

With the win, Pakistan booked a spot in the Super 4 alongside India from Group A. India had qualified for the next round after beating Agha & Co. in a high-profile encounter in Dubai last week. India are still at the top of the Group A points table with 4 points from two matches and a superior net run rate than Pakistan.
