Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Darbhanga in Bihar today, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of many development projects. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated AIIMS Darbhanga and also laid the foundation stone of AIIMS Bhagalpur costing Rs 1260 crore. He said that our government is mainly working on five focuses in the health sector. The Prime Minister said that the mission of our government is to provide good health facilities to the poorest of the poor. He said that Darbhanga AIIMS will bring a huge change in the health sector of Bihar.
Prime Minister Modi said that providing better health facilities to the countrymen and making their lives easier is our biggest priority. With the construction of Darbhanga AIIMS, apart from Mithila, Kosi and Tirhut regions, there will be health facilities for the people of West Bengal and many surrounding areas. Even patients coming from neighboring country Nepal will be able to get treatment in this hospital.
Government is working on 5 focuses for the poor
Prime Minister Modi said that our government is working with a holistic approach regarding health in the country. Our first focus is on prevention of disease. The second focus is on diagnosing the disease properly, the third focus is that people should get free and cheap treatment, they should get affordable medicines, the fourth focus is to provide the best treatment facilities even in small towns, to overcome the shortage of doctors in the country and The fifth focus is to expand technology in health services.
Savings to poor families through Ayushman Bharat Scheme
Prime Minister Modi said that Ayushman Bharat scheme is bringing a big change in the lives of the poor of the country. Under this scheme, about four crore people have been treated in the country. If there was no Ayushman Bharat scheme, most of these people would not have been admitted to the hospital. Crores of families have saved about Rs. 1.25 lakh crore through Ayushman Yojana.
