From villages to towns, even metropolises have now come under the grip of online betting. A man was murdered in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh. Tikamgarh police arrested a young man and solved the murder case. The accused who killed the young man turned out to be none other than his friend. While revealing the murder, the police said that the body of a young man was found near Nanni Tehri village on 7 September 2024. When the police identified the body, it was that of Lakhan Raikwar.
Lakhan was a resident of Ludiakhera village. In this case, the police had registered a murder case against an unknown accused, but when the police investigated the matter deeply, it was found that his friend was behind the murder of Lakhan. The police arrested the friend. When the police strictly talked to the deceased’s friend about all the aspects related to the case, he confessed.
A reward of ten thousand rupees was announced
The police had also announced a reward of ten thousand rupees for catching the deceased’s friend in this case. Revealing the murder, Budera police said that on the basis of suspicion, the deceased’s friend Dinesh Raikwar was taken into custody. When he was interrogated strictly, the accused confessed to the crime. Dinesh told the police that he used to bet from his mobile using online gambling applications, in which he had lost one and a half lakh rupees so far.
On the day of the incident, the accused and the deceased played online gambling, in which he lost 5000. The accused was demanding half of the loss amount i.e. 2500 rupees from Lakhan, but the deceased did not give the lost money to the accused. Due to this, there was a big fight between the two and the accused killed the deceased Lakhan by strangling him and fled from the spot after throwing the body, the addiction of online gambling made a friend the murderer of his own friend.
