Voting is being held on 230 seats of Madhya Pradesh on Friday. In Madhya Pradesh, Congress under the leadership of Kamal Nath is strongly challenging Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s BJP government. BJP has also used all its strength to save its position. BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, JP Nadda, UP CM Yogi have held more than 600 rallies, while Congress has also fielded Rahul Gandhi to Priyanka Gandhi. Now the fate of the candidates will be decided in the voting today. Today’s voting will decide whether BJP will return to Madhya Pradesh or Congress will rule.
The magic figure of majority in the 230-seat Madhya Pradesh Assembly is 116. Some opinion polls say that like last time in Madhya Pradesh, this time too no party will be able to touch it. In such a situation, the role of MLAs from small independent parties can be ‘decisive’. Public opinion polls or surveys often do not match reality, but the example of the fair is no less.
