There is big news for the employees. Union Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya launched the Employee Enrollment Scheme 2025 on Saturday. The objective of this scheme is to encourage employers to voluntarily include all their eligible employees in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO).

The scheme came into effect from 1 November 2025

This scheme has come into effect from 1 November 2025. Under this, if an employer has not previously deducted the EPF portion from the employee’s salary, then he will not be required to pay that portion now. Only a nominal fine of ₹ 100 will have to be paid. Labor Ministry said, the objective of this scheme is to bring the workforce in the country into the formal circle and promote ease of doing business.

During the program, Minister Mandaviya said, EPFO ​​is not just a fund, but a symbol of the trust of the employees of India on social security. It is important to take it forward with efficiency, transparency and sensitivity. He said, the impact of every reform should be directly visible in the lives of the workers and this will happen only when we implement the changes in simple language and clear system.

EPFO 3.0 platform will be launched soon

Central Provident Fund Commissioner Ramesh Krishnamurthy said that EPFO ​​3.0 platform will be launched soon, which will make the work faster, transparent and accessible. He said, new initiatives like simplified withdrawal process and trust scheme have made compliance easier for employers. Our focus is to strengthen trust, increase coverage and make every employee a partner in progress.

New digital facilities of EPFO

Recently EPFO ​​has launched many new services which include Centralized Pension Payment System, Aadhaar and Face Authentication, Updated Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR) System. With this, more than 7 crore customers will be able to get digital and easy service.

Big target related to PM employment scheme

Labor Secretary Vandana Gurnani said that EPFO ​​is playing an important role in the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Vikas Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY). This scheme is a big step towards promoting 3.5 crore new jobs in the country and strengthening formal employment.
