Adani Group’s big investment in aviation sector
Adani Defense FSTC acquisition: Gautam Adani’s caravan is no longer limited to just running the airport, but now he is also strengthening his hold on the ships flying in the sky and the training of the pilots who fly them. Taking another big leap in the aviation sector, Adani Group has purchased a major stake in Flight Simulation Technique Center (FSTC). This deal has been done at an enterprise value of Rs 820 crore. Adani Defense Systems and Technologies Limited (ADSTL) has taken this step in collaboration with Prime Aero Services. The echo of this deal is being heard in the entire aviation market. Let us understand what this deal means and how it can change the picture of the entire sector.
This is not just a deal, this is further preparation
Adani Group For this acquisition is not just an expansion of the business, but an attempt to create an ‘ecosystem’. FSTC is not a small company; It is India’s largest independent flight training company. When you hear that there is a shortage of pilots in India or there is a need for training infrastructure, it is companies like FSTC that fulfill that shortage.
This company has state-of-the-art simulation centers in Gurugram and Hyderabad. Apart from this, they also run big flying schools in Bhiwani and Narnaul of Haryana. That is, now Adani Group will have the complete infrastructure from training pilots on the ground to flying them in the sky.
What is special in FSTC?
Actually, FSTC has 11 full-flight simulators and 17 training aircraft. The most important thing is that their training program has been approved not only by India’s DGCA but also by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
This simply means that the pilots who take training from here are respected all over the world. Adani Enterprises believes that simulator-based training is the need of the future. It is not only safe, but also much cheaper than flying a real plane. Especially in the training of defense and commercial pilots, this increases the efficiency manifold.
All facilities will be available under one roof
The biggest impact of this deal will be that Adani Group will now become the ‘one-stop solution’ of the aviation sector. Adani already has companies like Air Works and Indamar Techniques, which do repair and maintenance (MRO) of aircraft. Now with the addition of FSTC this circle has been completed.
This means that the company will not need to go anywhere else for the maintenance of its ships, nor will it have to look for any other agency for the training of its pilots. Adani Defense and Aerospace CEO Ashish Rajvanshi has also called it the next step towards making it an ‘integrated platform’.
