New Delhi: Maserati India has launched the all-electric ‘Folgore’ versions of the GranTurismo coupe and GranCabrio convertible in India, marking the brand’s entry into the premium EV space. The GranTurismo Folgore is priced at Rs 3.05 crore, while the GranCabrio Folgore costs Rs 3.18 crore (ex-showroom). However, both models come with quick charging capability and the signature Maserati performance.
Interestingly, neither of them have any direct rivals at their price point, which makes them unique offerings in the Indian luxury EV market. Despite being fully electric, the Folgore duo continues to carry the familiar Maserati style, luxury, and grand touring spirit, combining cutting-edge technology with the brand’s timeless design and driving character.

Maserati has introduced the all-electric versions of its two grand tourers – the GranTurismo Folgore and the GranCabrio Folgore. Both cars share the same electric setup. They use an 83kWh battery (usable capacity) connected to three electric motors, one in the front and two at the back. Together, they produce 761hp and 1,350Nm of torque, which can be briefly increased to 829hp.
The GranTurismo Folgore can go from 0–100kph in 2.7 seconds, while the slightly heavier GranCabrio Folgore takes 2.8 seconds. Top speeds are 325kph for the coupe and 290kph for the convertible. Maserati claims a driving range of 450km for the GranTurismo and 447km for the GranCabrio on a single charge. Both models support up to 270kW DC fast charging, putting them among the fastest-charging EVs available in India.

In terms of design, both the electric GranTurismo and GranCabrio look almost the same as their petrol versions. The main differences are the new bumpers, Folgore badges, and redesigned alloy wheels. Other familiar Maserati details, such as the slim LED headlights, tail-lamps, the large oval grille with the trident logo, and the triple side vents, are still present.
The GranCabrio Folgore is equipped with a soft fabric roof that opens or closes in 14 seconds, even while driving at speeds of up to 50kph. The EV also features a neck-warming system that has three heat settings, while buyers have the option to choose to add a wind deflector for extra comfort.

Inside, both models have the same layout. They come with a 2+2 seating setup, a dual-tone dashboard, and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. The digital instrument cluster measures 12.2 inches, while two smaller screens below manage infotainment and car settings. A small digital clock sits in the centre of the dash. To add a sense of drama, Maserati has fitted the system to play artificial engine sounds through the speakers, making the electric drive feel more engaging.
