During this time, the world premiere of Subhash Ghai’s short film ‘Gandhi A Perspective’ took place in the film festival. Manoj Bajpayee has played the lead role in this film. The director of the film has recently made a revelation about this.
Talking about ‘Gandhi A Perspective’, Subhash Ghai said that this film is a search for a perspective. This was the first short film made under the direction of Subhash Ghai. While disclosing this, he said that Manoj Bajpayee did not take any fees for this film. Talking about its story, he told that the idea of making a film on Gandhi came to his mind during a conversation.
How did the inspiration to make a short film come?
Referring to the story of ‘Gandhi A Perspective’, the director told that an 18 year old student of Whistling Woods International told him that I will not celebrate Gandhi Jayanti because I do not believe in it. After that student’s talk, he got inspiration to make this story. Talking about Manoj Bajpayee, he said that I am very grateful that he became a part of the film. Along with this, he told that the actor did not take any fees for this film because he wanted to explain to the youth about Gandhi.
Manoj always wanted to work together
Manoj Bajpayee, while sharing his experience of working with Subhash Ghai, said that ever since he started acting, he wanted to work with the director. The actor said, because of ‘Gandhi A Perspective’, I got a chance to spend time with the director as an actor and learned a lot from him. It was lovely to be a part of this project and learned a lot from it.
