The fear of gang war is visible in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail. The jail authority has expressed fear of a clash between Bishnoi gang and members of D-Company. In view of the fear of possible gang war, the jail authority has filed an application in the court to transfer the members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang to other jails. In this petition, a demand has been made to transfer some members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang arrested in the cases of firing at the houses of Baba Siddiqui and Salman Khan to other jails.
According to the jail official, the number of Bishnoi gang members in the jail has now increased to more than 20. The jail authority fears that members of the Bishnoi gang may form their own faction in the jail. This may create law and order problems, that is why an application has been made to shift them to other jails. Members of D-Company and Rajan gang are also lodged in the jail.

For this reason, an application has been given to shift him to other jails. At present, 15 accused in the Baba Siddiqui murder case and 5 accused in the Salman Khan firing case are in judicial custody. A total of 18 people have been arrested so far in the Baba Siddiqui case and more arrests are being made during the investigation.

The officer said that the number of prisoners in the jail is already beyond its capacity and any kind of law and order situation can create anarchy in the jail. Officials say that the accused arrested in Baba Siddiqui and Salman Khan firing cases have been kept in high security cells so that they cannot contact other prisoners. Arthur Road Jail houses members of various gangs including D-Gang and Chhota Rajan gang who are already arrested in different cases. Mumbai Crime Branch has so far arrested 18 accused in the Baba Siddiqui murder case. The main accused in the case, Shubham Lonkar and Siddiqui’s shooter Shivkumar Gautam are still absconding.
