Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray does not seem to be getting any relief from the Mahim assembly seat in Mumbai in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Despite the announcement of support from Bharatiya Janata Party, Shiv Sena Shinde faction candidate Sada Sarvankar has announced on Friday that he will contest from this seat. He will not withdraw his candidature.
Let us tell you that voting for Maharashtra Assembly will be held on 20th November and counting of votes will take place on 23rd November. Candidates can withdraw their applications till November 4, but before that Sada Saravankar has announced that he will not withdraw his name.
Amit Thackeray, son of MNS chief Raj Thackeray, is contesting from this seat for the first time. Whereas, Sada Saravankar is contesting elections from Shiv Sena Shinde faction. Mahesh Sawant has been made the candidate from Maha Vikas Aghadi.
BJP had tried to convince Saravankar
Let us tell you that BJP is always trying to remove Saravankar from the field for Amit Thackeray. There was news that BJP has also approached Shiv Sena, but Sada Saravankar has always refused to accept BJP’s point.
Saravankar has made it clear that he will not back down. He said that there is a mother-son relationship between this constituency and me. It should not be broken. I will not withdraw my name. Sarvankar has said that I am available 365 days in this constituency, so now it is almost clear that the fight between Amit Thackeray and Sarvankar is inevitable in this constituency.
Sada Saravankar will not withdraw nomination
There was always pressure on Saravankar from the Chief Minister to withdraw his candidature. He has also reacted on this. There is no truth in this, I am the official candidate of Shiv Sena, BJP, NCP. AB form is not achieved without blessings. I have filled the form, I have the blessings of the people.
Meanwhile, Sarvankar has also given information about Raj Thackeray’s visit. I have asked for time from Raj Thackeray sir, when he gives time I will meet him. I want them to bless me. I am going to request him, there is a mother and son relationship in this constituency. Saravankar said do not let them break.
