When will online booking of Bhasmarti be closed?
Online booking facility is available to participate in the Bhasmarti of Mahakal Temple, but in view of the crowd coming at the beginning of the new year, the temple administration has currently banned it. According to the information received, online booking of Bhasma Aarti will remain closed from 25 December 2025 to 5 January 2026. During this period, devotees will be able to participate in Bhasma Aarti only after taking offline permission.

How to book Bhasmarti offline?
If you want to participate in the burning of Mahakal temple in the beginning of the year 2026, then you will have to make offline booking for this. On the day before which you want to visit Bhasmarti, take the form from the Bhasmarti online counter, fill in the necessary details and attach a photocopy of your Aadhar card. After filling the form, submit it at the same counter. If your booking is confirmed, a message will come on your mobile. Only by showing this message you can enter the temple from the fixed place at the fixed time.
Estimated arrival of 10 lakh devotees
The number of devotees in Mahakal temple suddenly increases on New Year. The temple committee estimates that this time around 10 lakh devotees are expected to reach Ujjain between January 31 and January 2, hence online booking of Bhasmarti has been banned.
