The life of Noorjahan, a resident of Lakhimpur Kheri, has taken a new turn. After facing the pain of triple talaq, Noorjahan decided to live her life with her lover Dharampal. They got married according to Hindu customs in an ashram in Bareilly. Noorjahan not only got married but also voluntarily adopted Sanatan Dharma and now her new name is Poonam Devi.
Friendship started from Delhi, love became support of life
Noorjahan and Dharampal met in Mundera, Delhi. Both knew each other for the last five years and were living together for eight months. Gradually friendship turned into love and both decided to spend their lives together.

Big decision taken after the trauma of triple talaq
Noorjahan told that her parents got her married to a young man, who gave her triple talaq after some time. This incident had broken him mentally. During these difficult days, Dharampal became the support of his life.
Marriage solemnized as per Hindu tradition
On Friday, both of them reached Bareilly, where Pandit KK Shankhdhar conducted the marriage according to Vedic rituals. Noorjahan i.e. now Poonam Devi said that she has deep faith in Sanatan Dharma. She is a devotee of Lord Ram and used to visit the temple regularly. For this reason he converted to religion.
Poonam Devi worried about security
After marriage, Poonam has demanded security from the police. She says that she is in danger from her family and does not want any untoward incident. Dharampal has also promised to support his wife.
