Liquor worth Rs 1 crore seized in Patna, some bottles found in barrack; SHO and Inspector were arrested – Khel Ja

There is liquor ban in Bihar, drinking, serving, making and selling liquor is a crime as per law. The police have the responsibility to make prohibition successful. But in Patna only policemen have been accused of liquor theft. After the allegations were made, the SSP has suspended the police station while two people including the inspector have been arrested. The matter is of Digha police station area of ​​the capital. Liquor has been recovered from the barrack of the police station here. It is being told that there were preparations to dispose of it but before that someone complained about it to the SSP. Then this big action took place.

In fact, two days ago, liquor worth about one crore rupees was recovered in Digha police station area of ​​Patna. Here the police seized about one thousand cartons of liquor being brought from Punjab. Along with this, the police have also seized a truck and 6 pickup vans. It is being told that there were preparations to consume this huge consignment of liquor on the occasion of New Year.

While the police was considering the recovery of liquor as a big success, some policemen had stolen the liquor and kept it hidden in the barrack. Someone complained about this to the SSP, then the Patna SSP asked the SP City to search the Digha police station. When SP City searched the barrack of Digha police station, liquor bottles were recovered from there.

Digha SHO suspended

After finding the liquor, the SSP took action and with immediate effect suspended SHO of Digha police station Rampreet Paswan while Inspector Phool Kumar Chaudhary was arrested. Along with this, a driver from the police station has also been arrested.

SSP said this is a serious crime

In the case, SSP Rajeev Kumar Mishra said that the policemen found guilty in the initial investigation have been suspended. Also the inspector has been arrested. After receiving the complaint, this matter was taken seriously. He said that this case falls in the category of serious crime. The SSP said that wherever policemen’s involvement in liquor comes to light, action will be taken against them.
