Kawasaki India has launched the KX 85 and KLX 300R for the Indian market. The KX 85 and KLX 300R are dirt motorcycles that are available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 4.20 lakh and Rs 5.60 lakh respectively.
Both these Kawasaki bikes will be brought to India via the CBU route and can be owned privately as they are not road legal. The KX 85 and KLX 300R are mainly targeted at children and upcoming riders that want to have a career in motorsports. They are both available in only a Lime Green colour scheme.
Kawasaki KX 85 – Power and Performance
The Kawasaki KX 85 is powered by an 84 cc single-cylinder, two-stroke engine that is attached to a tubular semi-double cradle frame and 6-speed gearbox unit. At the front, it gets a 36 mm inverted cartridge suspension and a Uni Trak suspension with a fully adjustable shock absorber from KYB at the back. Owing to this, the Kawasaki KX 85 gets 275 mm of travel at both ends. It rolls on Dunlop MX33 tyres with 17-inch front wheel and 14-inch rear wheel. For braking duties, there is a 202 mm disc at the front and 150 mm disc at the rear.
Kawasaki KLX 300R – Power and Performance
The Kawasaki KLX 300R is powered by a 292 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine that is mated to a six-speed gearbox unit. Additionally, the Kawasaki KLX 300R is equipped with a four-way adjustable handlebar. For suspension, the Kawasaki dirt bike gets a 43 mm inverted front fork and a fully adjustable Unit Trak single shock at the back. The KLX 300R features spoked wheels of 21-inch at the front and 18-inch at the rear. For braking responsibilities, the bike is equipped with a semi-floating 270 mm petal disc at the front with a single-piston calliper and a 240 mm petal disc at the rear. The bike boasts a total weight of 128 kg.
