Kalki OTT Release News: Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan’s film Kalki 2898 AD came like a storm in the cinemas and broke all records. It is being told in many reports that Nag Ashwin’s film Kalki 2898 AD will be released on OTT platform Prime Video on 23 August this month. Fans were very excited with the news that the film will come on OTT this month. But now a big hitch seems to be stuck in it. 123 Telugu has told in its report that the Kalki that will be released on OTT will be 6 minutes shorter than the film released in theaters. The report says that the trimmed version of Kalki will be released on OTT. Although this has not been said officially yet. But such discussions have started.
How much were Kalki OTT rights sold for?
Prime Video has the OTT rights of Kalki’s South Indian language versions, i.e. Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. It is being said that Prime will release Kalki on 23 August. Netflix has the OTT rights of the Hindi version of this film. But the information about when the Hindi version will be released has not been revealed yet. Netflix has bought the rights of the film for around Rs 175 crore and Prime Video for Rs 200 crore. That is, the makers of Kalki had earned a strong amount of Rs 375 crore by selling only the OTT rights.
When will Kalki part 2 come?
After the strong success of the first part of Kalki, people have started waiting for the release of its second part. However, Prabhas has many projects in the coming days. In such a situation, he will work on Kalki only after completing the projects already in hand. It is also worth noting that 60 percent of Kalki’s shooting has already been completed. But the 40 percent that is yet to be filmed is very important. Some time ago, during a discussion with Prabhas on Instagram Live, Nag Ashwin had said that the second part of the film will take three years to come. In such a situation, it is clear that Kalki and Prabhas fans may have to wait a long time for the second part.
Kalki was produced by Vaijayanti Movies. Santosh Narayan has given music in it. Apart from Prabhas, Deepika, Kamal and Big B, many actors like Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, Saswata Chatterjee, Brahmanandam, Anna Ben, Shobhana, Mrinal Thakur, Dilkar Salman and Vijay Deverakonda have appeared in the film.
