Kalamkaaval pre-release teaser

The pre-release teaser of Kalamkaaval begins with a notice board filled with photos of missing women. In the voice-over, we hear family members desperately searching for their daughters, sisters and partners. We then see Vinayakan’s character, who appears to be investigating the case. He says, “Later on, this killing vibe has turned me into an addict.” The teaser also gives a fleeting glimpse of actress Raiza Wilson, who plays a pivotal role in this crime drama.

The visuals then shift to Mammootty’s menacing character. He is seen giving a sly, unsettling smile-one that sends chills down the spine. His presence on screen is intensified further by his chilling dialogue: “The greatest pleasure is when you kill a human.”

Kalamkaaval first teaser

The film has generated massive curiosity ever since the makers released the first teaser.

The earlier teaser begins with someone knocking on a door. A Tamilian man opens it and asks, “Who are you?” We then see a police officer questioning another cop-whose face is not shown-asking, “Are you the one who’s Nath?” This is followed by intense visuals of both Vinayakan and Mammootty. While Vinayakan appears stern and focused, Mammootty looks calm and composed, observing someone closely.

, produced by Mammootty Kampany, carries the intriguing tagline: “The venom beneath”.

Earlier this year, the makers released the second-look poster of Mammootty. Sharing it, Mammootty Kampany wrote, “Some faces raise questions… not answers. Presenting the second-look poster of Kalamkaaval, directed by Jithin K Jose.”

The film, which wrapped up shooting in November last year, has story and screenplay by Jithin K Jose and Jishnu Sreekumar. It features editing by Praveen Prabhakar, cinematography by Faisal Ali, music by Mujeeb Majeed, and stunt choreography by action Santhosh.

The has cleared the film with a U/A certificate. Mammootty himself confirmed it, stating, “Kalamkaval censored with U/A 16+ certificate. In cinemas soon.”
