Rishabh Pant can be given command of the team against West Indies. After Rohit Sharma, Team India will need a captain for the future for which the selectors can make Rishabh Pant the captain. Rishabh’s performance in Tests has been quite excellent, due to which he can be given captaincy.

Jasprit Bumrah can be given rest

Team vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah can be rested for this series, because Team India has to play this series after the 5-match Test series against England, due to which he can be rested. The main pillars of the Test team, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Rohit Sharma can also be given rest and new players can be given a chance in their place so that the transition of Team India can be completed easily.

Gaikwad may get a chance in the team

Rituraj Gaikwad can be given a chance in place of Rohit Sharma. Rituraj has been performing well for a long time, due to which he can be given a chance in the team. Ruturaj was also made the captain in India A, Irani Trophy and Duleep Trophy, after which now his next step may be to play for India.
