Nitish Kumar Reddy: Since his debut in Test cricket, Indian team all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has played only nine matches so far. But, Nitish is not getting a chance to play in the Test series against South Africa (India vs South Africa).

India vs South Africa Test Series: Young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy is not a part of the Indian team in the Test match to be held at Eden Gardens. The first test match of the India-South Africa series is starting from Friday. Earlier on Wednesday, the Indian team informed that Nitish has been released. The ODI series between India A and South Africa A is starting from Thursday in Rajkot. Nitish will play in this series. He came to Kolkata for the Test series and also started practicing with the team at Eden. But, instead of giving him a chance in this match, he was sent from Kolkata to Rajkot. This young all-rounder has been sent to the India A team only to give him a chance to play instead of making him sit on the bench.

Rishabh Pant will play in Eden

There will be two specialist wicketkeepers in the Indian team in the Eden Test. Experienced wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has returned to the team after recovering from injury. Dhruv Jurel is also in the team. Considering the form he has been in recently, it is not possible to drop him from the team. For this reason Nitish has been released. At present he is not getting a place in the team. With the presence of Rishabh and Jurel, the batting lineup of the Indian team has become stronger. It is not clear who among these two will do wicketkeeping. However, Rishabh is ahead on the basis of experience. In such a situation, Jurel can play only as a batsman. Speaking to the media at Eden on Wednesday, Indian team’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate said that Jurel will play at Eden.
