Russia’s leading wine manufacturing company Abru-Durso Group and Indian company Indobevs have partnered to produce wine beverages. According to a report by Russian news agency Interfax, an MoU for cooperation in the production of alcoholic beverages was signed between Abreu-Durso and Indobevs during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India. Interfax quoted company sources as saying that the first phase of cooperation between the two companies will start with local production of wine made from fruit juice in India.

India important market for Abru-Durso

Abreu-Durso said that partner company Indobevs has special expertise in the production and distribution of alcohol. This company has been actively developing its brand since 2018. The company said that India is an important and promising market for Abreu-Durso. The signed MoU is a logical and credible step towards implementing the company’s international strategy.

Abrau-Durso is a premium winery in Russia, once famous for its sparkling wines sold under the Champagne brand. It was established in 1870 by Emperor Alexander II. According to the company’s website, in 2024, it sold 66,862,000 bottles, an increase of 18 percent compared to 2023. Revenue in 2024 will be 15 billion 798 million rubles, which is an increase of 26 percent.
