New Delhi: Radha Yadav showcased brilliant fielding skills during the second women’s ODI between India and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, October 27. She took to stunning catches to dismiss Georgia Plimmer and Brooke Halliday during the match.
The Whiteferns posted 260 runs target for the Women in Blue in the second ODI. Sophie Devine scored 79 runs off 80 balls with the help of seven fours and one maximum and Suzie Bates amassed 58 runs off 70 balls. Plimmer and Maddy Green also made crucial contributions with the bat. For India, Radha Yadav took 4 wickets and Deepti Sharma also took 2 wickets.

Suzie Bates and Georgia Plimmer provided New Zealand a good start and scored 46 runs in the first 10 overs. All-rounder Deepti Sharma provided Team India with their first breakthrough by removing Plimmer in the 16th over.
On the third delivery, Deepti bowled a full delivery outside off stump and Plimmer played a flick shot but mistimed it completely. Radha at short midwicket completed a stunning diving catch with both hands.

In the 32nd over, Radha took another brilliant catch to dismiss Brooke Halliday. She stepped out and hit the straight delivery high in the air and it looked like the ball will land in safely on the ground. But Radha ran back and dived full-length to take the catch horizontally on the ground. Her brilliant effort left everyone stunned in the stadium.
India lost 3 wickets in five overs
Chasing the target of 260 runs, The Women in Blue lost three big wickets in the first five overs of the second innings. Lea Tahuhu removed Smriti Mandhana on a duck in the first over while Jess Kerr dismissed Shafali Verma on 11 runs in the fourth over. Tahuhu removed Yastika Bhatia on 12 runs and took her second wicket of the match.
